Some recent records made by Edvard Grieg were included, which suggested to the Emperor a little pleasantry at the artist’s expense. On arriving at Drontheim, Grieg was invited on board to meet the Kaiser. In the midst of their conversation the signal was given to render one of the Grieg records on the Welte-Mignon.
